Consortium PKP PLK, PKP S.A and City of Lodz | Design-Build for Lodz Fabryczna High Speed Multi-Modal Station
Station Lodz Fabryczna, the first high speed line station in Poland as well as its first entirely underground Polish multi-modal pole, includes a station for suburban trains, coach station, drop-off area, access to tramway, an underground road terminal and underground car park with 960 places on three levels.
Lodz Fabryczna High Speed Line multi-modal station was a design-build project is part of a larger Polish High Speed line which intends to connect Warsaw, Wroclaw and Poznan at 217 miles per hour.
The project was intended as a catalyst for urban renewal for the neglected former industrial city center. Considerable importance was devoted to the station’s urban integration and to the redevelopment of the areas around the station.
