NYCHA | Architectural/Engineering Professional Services for Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Projects
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the largest public housing authority in North America. NYCHA’s Public Housing Program consists of 178,557 apartments in 325 developments. NYCHA serves approximately 403,120 authorized residents and a total of 615,199 New Yorkers are served by NYCHA’s Public Housing and Section 8 Programs combined.
SYSTRA has been selected to provide citywide architectural and engineering services for NYCHA capital projects as part of this ID/IQ contract.
The categories of capital projects include:
- Building Exteriors (including, but not limited to structural repair, renovation, rehabilitation and replacement of brick facades and exterior structural systems, walls, roofs, windows, fire escapes, balconies and terraces, exterior stairs, ramps, retaining walls, and landscape structures);
- Building Systems (including, but not limited to foundations, structural framing, walls, building entrances, plumbing system upgrades, electrical and security system upgrades, heating, ventilation and cooling system upgrades, boilers, compactors, roof tanks, and elevators);
- New Construction and Major Renovations (including, but not limited to all NYCHA public spaces, such as community centers, day care centers, youth centers, senior centers and commercial spaces);
- Site and Security Improvements (including, but not limited to exterior compactors, exterior site lighting, CCTV system installation, underground fuel oil tank removal and/or replacement, grounds restoration including playgrounds, pedestrian ramps, and underground utilities replacement and upgrades).
