SYSTRA’s status as the signature team for transportation solutions has been further cemented in the latest Engineering News-Record (ENR) international design firm rankings. We climbed in all three relevant categories that were published in July.

We confirmed our position in the Top 10 International Design Firms in Transportation category, moving up one place to number 9 after entering the Top 10 for the first time last year. This category comprises airports, bridges, roads, canals, locks, dredging, marine facilities, piers, railroads and tunnels (among others).

In the Top 225 International Design Firms, a generalist category that ranks companies based on design revenue from projects outside their home countries, we climbed six places, rising to 36 from 42.

We also entered the top 50 for the first time in the Top 150 Global Design Firms category, which measures total worldwide design revenue, rising one place from our 2017 position.

Commenting on these achievements, Pierre Verzat, SYSTRA’s CEO, said: “These latest ENR rankings confirm our successful global expansion strategy and are testimony to the technical excellence delivered by SYSTRA employees all around the world. I am proud that as transportation experts we have risen to our highest ranking to date in our specialist category, while also achieving Top 50 positions in broad categories measuring the global engineering industry in its entirety.”

These latest rankings are in addition to our number 3 position in Mass Transit and Rail and our number 12 position in Bridges (a category compiled prior to our acquisition of IBT), published in December 2017.

The ENR rankings are widely viewed as the benchmark for the global engineering industry and are based on companies’ annual revenue in both domestic and international markets.
